Spring Break Update
Sort of as a
follow-up to my previous post, I have pictures and stories from my trip to New
Zealand! The trip was as great as I had hoped it would be and more; I plan on
going back one day to explore all the things I didn’t have time to see and do
all the things I didn’t get to do.
My favorite road
trip was to a place called Milford Sound. I got to take this boat tour around
all the mountains and rock formations in the national park, and the place was
seriously beautiful. The day I went, apparently the waterfalls were “smaller
than usual” because they hadn’t gotten rain in 5 days, but they were still
amazing – take a look at the pictures and see for yourself. I also got to see
all sorts of animals up close – flying fish, seals, and even a small shark. I’m
so used to living in or near cities that I forget how much wildlife exists out
there.
The one thing I
regret about my trip is not bringing the proper hiking and camping gear to do
some overnight trips, so next time I go I plan on bringing some or at least
renting them to do that. But other than that, I really loved being out in pristine
nature after being holed up in smoggy LA for so long. If you like quiet,
beautiful scenery, I highly recommend visiting New Zealand one day yourself :)

Hy Renee,
ReplyDeleteI love hearing about your experience! I have never been to either Australia or New Zealand but I really want to visit those amazing countries and learn about their culture. I'll keep in mind to bring some hiking gear when I'll be there.
Hey Renee,
ReplyDeleteVery great post! New Zealand looks amazing and maybe Ill plan on visiting during my gradtrip. You got some really beautiful pictures and cant wait to hike my way through the nature of Milford Sound.
Hi Renee, I love New Zealand! Growing up in Fiji I got to visit often as many of my relatives are from there. I'm glad you got to experience the beauty of New Zealand's nature and wildlife. Love the picture by the way!
ReplyDeleteHi Renee, so I too am a huge road trip fan and nature guy. I have always wanted to visit New Zealand and Australia but never had the chance. If you are looking for hikes here in LA let me know! I have done a couple!
